Ingredients
- •1 cup atta or maida, kneaded into a stiff dough (10 momo wrappers)
- •150 g paneer (low fat), crumbled
- •1 cup cabbage, finely shredded and squeezed dry
- •1 small onion, minced; 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- •1 tsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp pepper, salt
- •Chutney: 2 dried red chillies + 1 tomato + garlic, blended
Method
- 1.Mix the filling: paneer, squeezed cabbage, onion, ginger-garlic, soy, pepper, and salt.
- 2.Roll thin small discs, fill, and pleat them shut. Imperfect pleats steam just as well.
- 3.Steam 10 to 12 minutes until the wrappers turn glossy.
- 4.Blitz the chutney ingredients and serve hot.
Coach’s note
Restaurant momos hide oil in the filling and the fried finish. Steamed paneer ones at home are half the calories and more protein per plate.
