Ingredients
- •400 ml toned milk
- •1.5 scoops (45 g) vanilla whey
- •1 tsp custard powder or cornflour (for silkiness, not sweetness)
- •2 cups chopped fruit: apple, banana, pomegranate, grapes
- •Pinch of cardamom or a drop of vanilla
Method
- 1.Whisk the cornflour into 100 ml of the milk cold, then simmer with the rest of the milk until it just thickens. Cool completely.
- 2.Blend the cooled milk with the whey until smooth and pourable-thick.
- 3.Pour over the chopped fruit, chill 30 minutes, and serve cold.
Coach’s note
Classic custard is milk, sugar, and cornflour poured on fruit. Swapping the sugar and most of the cornflour for vanilla whey keeps the exact taste memory at triple the protein.
