Chocolate Protein Mug Cake

Ninety seconds in the microwave, 20 g of protein, and it kills the 10pm chocolate craving without opening the biscuit cupboard.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop (30 g) chocolate whey
  • 2 tbsp atta or oat flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp curd + enough milk for a thick batter (about 60 ml)
  • Few dark chocolate chips on top (optional)

Method

  1. 1.Mix everything in a large mug into a smooth, thick batter. Scrape the bottom corners.
  2. 2.Microwave 60 to 90 seconds. Stop when the top is just set; it keeps cooking in the mug.
  3. 3.Eat warm, straight from the mug, like a civilised person.

Overcooking makes it rubbery. Pull it out slightly underdone.
