Moong Dal Uttapam
A thick savoury pancake from soaked moong dal batter, no fermentation wait. 18 g of protein per serving.

Ingredients
- •80 g yellow moong dal, soaked 2 hours
- •1 small onion, finely chopped
- •1 small tomato, finely chopped
- •2 tbsp chopped capsicum and coriander
- •1 green chilli, small piece of ginger
- •Salt to taste
- •1 tsp oil for the pan
Method
- 1.Drain the moong dal and grind with the chilli, ginger and a little water into a thick batter.
- 2.Season with salt.
- 3.Pour a ladle onto a hot non-stick tawa and spread into a thick round.
- 4.Scatter the onion, tomato, capsicum and coriander on top and press in.
- 5.Drizzle a little oil, cook until the base is golden, flip and finish.
