Paneer-Stuffed Moong Dal Cheela

Golden moong dal crepes stuffed with spiced crumbled paneer. A double-protein classic at 28 g per plate.

Ingredients

  • •80 g yellow moong dal, soaked 3 to 4 hours (or overnight)
  • •60 g paneer (low fat), crumbled
  • •1 green chilli, small piece of ginger
  • •1 small onion, finely chopped
  • •1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp cumin, salt
  • •2 tsp oil, fresh coriander

Method

  1. 1.Blend the soaked dal with chilli, ginger, turmeric, and salt into a pourable batter.
  2. 2.Mix the crumbled paneer with onion, coriander, cumin, and a pinch of salt for the stuffing.
  3. 3.Spread a ladle of batter thin on a hot oiled pan. Cook until the edges lift, flip for a minute.
  4. 4.Fill with the paneer mix, fold, and serve hot with green chutney. Makes 2 cheelas.

Coach’s note

Soak the dal before bed and breakfast takes 15 minutes flat in the morning.
