Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiled chana (or canned, rinsed and dried well)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp chaat masala, 1/2 tsp red chilli, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, salt
  • Squeeze of lemon to serve

Method

  1. 1.Dry the chana thoroughly on a kitchen towel. Wet chana will never crisp.
  2. 2.Toss with oil and the spices. Spread on a tray in one layer.
  3. 3.Roast at 200°C for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking the tray halfway, until crunchy.
  4. 4.Cool completely before jarring, or the steam softens them.
