Sattu Cheela
Roasted gram flour pancakes with onion and green chilli. More protein than a besan cheela, ready in 15 minutes, and it keeps you full until lunch.

Ingredients
- •1 cup sattu (roasted chana flour)
- •Quarter cup curd
- •Water as needed
- •1 onion, finely chopped
- •1 green chilli, chopped
- •A handful of coriander
- •Half tsp ajwain, half tsp turmeric
- •Salt to taste
- •2 tsp oil for the pan
Method
- 1.Whisk the sattu, curd, turmeric, ajwain and salt with enough water to make a thick pouring batter. Rest 5 minutes.
- 2.Stir in the onion, chilli and coriander.
- 3.Heat a non-stick tawa, brush with oil, and pour a ladle of batter. Spread into a thin round.
- 4.Cook 2 minutes each side until golden with crisp edges.
- 5.Serve with green chutney or a bowl of curd.
Coach’s note
Sattu batter thickens as it sits. If the second cheela will not spread, add a splash of water before pouring.
